Windows stops responding during boot

I am running Windows Vista Beta 2 on an AMD Athlon 64 machine with a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS and 1 GB system memory. After Vista boots basic files and loads the GUI (either from the DVD in setup or from the HDD), the OS stops responding completely. I can't move the mouse or use the keyboard at all. When booting from the DVD for setup, this only happens sometimes, but from the HDD, this happens every time, at varying points in startup. I can boot in safe mode with networking, but normal startup is impossible.

hmmm,
on one of my laptop HDD I have the problem that on startup after programs loaded, the processor just like goes to 100% for 3 min :-S and its really slow etc... but then it returns to average lol

Possibly a video driver issue
